JBenchmark Net BETA
Are you prepared for the mobile networking boom? Network enabled mobile applications will take off soon as more and more network operators will launch flat rate (unlimited download) internet packages.
Mobile online communities, networked games, user generated content and IP based communication technologies (VOIP, instant messaging) will all benefit from the increased bandwidth and more liberal use of networks.
For the effective use of these services mobile handsets and operators need to be prepared.
JBenchmark Net Beta is our test tool to help evaluating the network bandwidth and response speed available for mobile applications, measuring the bottlenecks of networks and devices.

Features:
JBenchmark Net analyzes networking speed by measuring the time to connect, download and upload files to JBenchmark Net servers.
Based on the measurements the following statistics are created:

JBenchmark Net Community Edition is free to use for JBenchmark Community Members.
The application will request your login and password before the test starts.
If you're not yet member of JBenchmark Community, please register now. (It's free.)

Most phones will ask for your permission before connecting to the internet.
Important : you have to agree when prompted if you want to test networking with your device.
If it's possible, please choose "Ask only once" or "Yes, this session only" options to permit networking for the whole testing in one step.

If the connection and authentication go fine, the real network testing starts.
The progress bar on the screen will show the actual stage of the test. (This can take from 30 to 60 seconds.)

- Download speed in Kbits/second
- Upload speed in Kbits/second
- Response time in milliseconds (round-trip latency)
- Connection time in milliseconds
- Test duration
- Traffic generated
- Network operator name (only in final version)
- Country of test (only in final version)
- Network type (3G, HSDPA, EDGE, WiFi, etc)
